002. Texture Set

1; texture set, sized for icons



Hi!

I am slowly coming back to the internet [took a pretty long hiatus from the internet in general due to some RL stress and the holidays on top of it]. I say slowly because I'm sick and am not gonna be throwing myself into things too much yet. Not that I've ever been terribly active with my graphics comm >.> But! I want to change that ^__^

I came across an amazing texture tutorial by my friend Liz [erzsebet at songburst] and decided I wanted to try my hand at some textures! I had tried one other time and gave it up quickly, but her tutorial was very helpful. Now, I'm not super amazed at my results, I honestly don't think many of them are that great, and I think they're gonna be kinda hard to use [although to be fair, I'm a bit out of sync~ with graphics making after having been away from it for a few months], but maybe someone can use these. Oh, and they really don't look anything like hers: I used her tips, but different imagery. Plus, she's just way better at it XD I highly recommend her graphics community ;D

I did throw together a quick icon, using some of the textures I made for this set:


Not the best thing out there, I just wanted to see if any of these were actually gonna be able to be used XD So, here is my first ever texture set of 20 icon-size textures - although some are just color variations, but the same texture. Let me know what you think, if this is something I should try to do more, that sort of thing ^^ Thanks to Liz for the wonderful tutorial on how to go about this! ♥
