Meet Chanel Hawk

We recently connected with Chanel Hawk and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Chanel , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I developed my work ethic at a young age.. I would say around middle school. I always had an entrepreneur/go- getter mindset since then. I would always have something to sell, or always applying to a better position in the workforce. What motivated me the most was seeing results of my hard work, it reminds me that hard work surely pays off.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hi! My name is Chanel Hawk. My ongoing interest for natural hair care, led me to launch our Long Hair, Don’t Care oil when only 17 years old.

Knowing how harmful the leading brand’s ingredients are.. My curiosity tempted me to expand Honey Love Organicz from what began as a hobby.

Our product line now includes Hair Oil, Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Products, while I pursue my Nursing career.

Our goal is to inspire and represent Black Women through providing Quality Hair Care. Let us make Healthy Hair easy for you, Say Hello to Healthy Hair with Honey Love Organicz.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three impactful areas of knowledge throughout my journey are punctuality, planning and preparation. The three P’s.

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail – this is something that took me a while to learn but is so significant.. for life in general. Opportunities can be missed due to lack of planning and preparation. My advice is always be ready, at all times.
Punctuality was something I struggled with too.. that gets better with time and practice. Give yourself enough time to avoid anxious rushing, trying to meet deadlines with little time, etc.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We are looking to collab with hairstylists and anyone in the beauty/film industry!
