Military Brat Creating a...Military Brat
Hello, I'm Vicki and was born in San Diego, CA, but grew up in Virginia and New Hampshire before coming back to San Diego because- needless to say- military brat. Navy brat- Dad was a yeoman first class, and even worked at the Pentagon for his last assignment. Then there is my Air Force grandpa, my Navy grandpa, my Army grandpa (long story), and my Air Force father-in-law. Ubermilitarybrat. Kinda cool.
So, what have I done? I have gone ahead and performed the ultimate act of military brattiness... I have enlisted myself. In the ARMY... amazingly enough, this has actually prompted amusement from my Dad and father-in-law.... especially since I went to AIT on an Air Force base, this gave me a lot of fodder for inter-service jokes. (As far as almost everyone in the Army is concerned, the "Chair Force" lives in luxury.)
On top of everything else, I'm expecting my first child in February, which means that I am, in fact, TWO MILITARY BRATS! Quite the epiphany... :)
