TextPDFBryan Hamilton is a full-stack web engineer from Rochelle Park, New Jersey, with 25+ years of PHP, JavaScript and MySQL. He's built for NY Daily News, Jackson Hewitt, Cellebrite and OUTFRONT Media, and founded The DJ Calendar in 2015. From 2013 to 2020 he was a partner at Code Sharks, LLC; today he works on solo ventures. He's also available for retail and food-service roles.
But he isn't just a developer who writes clean code. He's the same person who shows up early, stays until the job's done, and takes genuine pride in whatever's in front of him — whether that's architecting a PHP backend, running a register during a lunch rush, or breaking down a truck delivery in the back. The work ethic doesn't change with the job title.
Bryan has a masterful ability to problem-solve complex scenarios, and was a driving force in creating our latest website. He is uniquely adept at listening to me articulate an idea, and knows exactly how to build, improve upon, and ultimately implement that idea.
Bryan is proactive, result oriented, responsible and technically sound… He has an exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skill in Web technologies, and certainly can get my full recommendation.
I have worked with Bryan for over 2 and half years and his work ethic has been exemplary… I would recommend him to any employer and they would be getting a top notch employee in return.
Every repo extracted from production code. Not tutorials. Not boilerplates. The actual thing, cleaned and documented.
Hover a DJ card, hear the track. iTunes Search lookup + Web Audio analyser driving an 8-bar EQ, mediaSession, race-guarded generation counter. This card is the demo — click the stage above to hear it.
Client-side search from a prebuilt JSON index. Scored AND matching, weighted fields, full ARIA combobox. ~1,000 pages, zero server round-trips.
Zero-dependency PHP CLI that audits JSON-LD: required properties per schema.org type, every internal @id resolved, CI fails on regressions. Took 1,000 pages from hundreds of warnings to zero.
Geolocation-aware tour map. Consent-first, haversine radius, race-safe Leaflet boot. Stays excellent when they say no.
Bandsintown + Ticketmaster feeds normalized into one row shape, deduped, cached, pruned. CI-tested PHP 8 with contract self-tests.
The 8-bar sensory equalizer. Pure CSS, optional 1 KB injector, reduced-motion respect. Zero JavaScript required to render.
Race-safe lazy script loader with Subresource Integrity. Concurrent-caller dedupe, timeout + cleanup. The bug you didn't know you had, fixed.
Hardened vanilla-JS JSON fetch: CSRF token caching, header + body dual injection, strict single retry on token expiry, typed errors. Zero dependencies.
MySQL schema + PDO data layer: idempotent event upserts, double opt-in subscribers, query-shaped composite indexes. Decisions documented inline.
WordPress port of the schema auditor: WP-CLI command, admin Tools page, and a CI self-test asserting pass and fail directions against real fixtures.
Crawl-budget-aware segmented sitemaps. The production sitemap listed 702 venues - 512 were dead 404s. This lists only pages that provably render, with real lastmod dates. Zero dependencies.
Technical writing on vanilla JavaScript, PHP, and production web patterns.
A prebuilt JSON index scored in the browser on every keystroke - weighted AND matching, ARIA combobox, zero server calls. Extracted from The DJ Calendar into an open-source repo.
Read on dev.toHow bryanhamilton.info became a production console: rack units, boot-flicker LEDs, a VU scroll bar - and the 16KB FTP wall and cache-header bug on the way to 99/100/100/100.
Read on dev.toRoughly 1,000 pages, audited and fixed: the schema mistakes behind the warnings, the targeted patches, and what Google actually rewarded.
Read on dev.toHow dj-card-preview works - Web Audio API analyser, iTunes Search API, canvas EQ, and the autoplay-gate pattern. No frameworks, no libraries.
Read on dev.toThis page respects your settings: everything works from the keyboard, dynamic results announce themselves through ARIA live regions, and every animation stops under prefers-reduced-motion. Accessibility isn’t a checklist bolted on at the end — it’s how the page is built.

Not at this exact moment. But between deploys I'm behind a counter somewhere in Bergen County — register, prep line, meat department. If the guy handing you your order starts talking about Lighthouse scores, that's me. Say hi.
The rest of this site is load-bearing. This one's just true.
