Ferroplasma és un gènere d'arqueus del fílum dels metanobacteriots (Methanobacteriota).[1][2]
El gènere Ferroplasma té només tres espècies descrites. La seva espècie tipus, F. acidophilum, és un membre acidòfil que oxida el ferro. Generalment es troba en mines que tenen un gran drenatge àcid.
