A cascade of a tone depicts my home (I revive) Vibrant, the language is thrown (I see my eyes in utero) Accountable, and life, from then, was known The wave that crashes upon your throat
2.
Your soul rests in a grainy picture The earth and sun, they were a window I’m not turning my back on you ‘Cause all of this is just temporary merry-go-rounds Through all my progressions, you stood there by my side Vulnerable in stark white, you look out at the sky With those tentative eyes You’re somewhere above the clouds You’re somewhere above the clouds It’ll catch you when you least expect it, but that’s how it’s gotta be Caught in these psychosomatic apertures on the flier Down and out, and I don’t know where I’ll go When my time comes to fly (you’re above my head) I hope I’ll be seeing your face You’re somewhere above the clouds You’re somewhere above the clouds

Hypnagogia 03:49
The flagship deity of the first world doesn’t have me convinced I see for miles these trees and sand From the deep blue sea To my friends who roam the barnyard I’ve got a question: how does this exist? Hearts they pound The reason unknown, but the sentiment's visible in bright lights They march down these city streets everyday How does this exist? This should not exist Why does this exist? This should not exist (and I’m amazed) Solace rests in the leaves of minds far too beautiful to bear the weight We’re tearing it down, the world I hope at the end of this maze lies a tranquil escape Beyond our own imagination lies the true size of this place The cosmos cannot be contained within the lines of a page So in a hazy gaze, just before the slumber I realize my own naivete and feel nothing but comfort

Lenn Awlae 03:30
Just past these trees, I found a loving arrow Pointing me towards the shore and the ice I am the duck in between the earth and moon the split second before they collide What mustn't I do? One by one the bricks they crumble under circumstance And one by one I build the city over water Never let me be narrow So I can tell the rest of the story She’s been caught up in the functions of her body Young and naive, impressionable One by one the bricks they crumble under circumstance And one by one I build the city over water Never let me be narrow So I can tell the rest of the story Don’t ever let it slip out your head

Innocence 01:06
I saw emotion flow out from your formation I have a note with all your glowing attributes visible in flashing colors I love you more than you could ever know Follow me for one night Let’s float away to that starlight oh-so far away And to this day, I’m out of breath

Fun 07:13
Sat behind the wall between work and my eyes A long walk against a throe A long silence I wait to be broken Unrequited words, my gaze had been frozen The notion never seemed to grow beyond the guise of a concealed horizon And yet the sun it shines so brightly A falling of the leaves let my earnest devotion To the figure from a dream, so close yet so far from my speech Harbor evermore, I got caught in a storm that left my apathy to fall And misery put up on the shelf And here came the days A mellow lie rests in frame And all of the life it would save For a moment I was kept awake Up high in a crowded room, it was all that I needed to move But in this day and age, you’re just words on a page The blanket where I lay Waiting patiently for the world to brake As I sit in my room, juxtaposed by the view of my consolation You are colorful, even in defense I conjure up your poise and nature In my mind and soul I cater A battle never won is not how this will end And here came the days A mellow lie rests in frame The ghost still lingers in a haze, and I’m left repenting my ways Up high in a crowded room, it was all that I needed to move But in this day and age, you’re just words on a page The blanket where I lay I recoil at the sight of the clock A vivid image, yet so esoteric And through my mind’s eye, I avoid the plight ‘Cause I know I’ll always have somewhere to run Back to when I saw your eyes lock into mine And play a melody that spoke to me deeper than words A vivid image, yet so esoteric A vivid image, yet so esoteric Oh, but the question marks on your eyes A mellow lie rests in the corner of my eye A mellow lie rests in the corner of my eye (A mellow lie, a mellow lie) A mellow lie rests in the corner of my mind You’ll always be in mind

ABCD 02:31
A star went out the night a wish dissolved Another day under the endless night sky A defeated sun will not rise It tried He used to burn so bright But now the alphabet has dampened him The letters attacked with no hesitation The sun was ripped to shreds The dying star nears its final rest It looks to me and says one last thing before it died “I had it all, ripped away from me, ripped away from me And I had it all, ripped away from me, ripped away from me”
8.
Ideas swirl my head, then they leave my hands Nothing is attained via chemicals Sedentary haze in my grayscale eyes Get another trophy and hit another wall Who am I? Nostalgic fantasies of the times I could see “It’s all abstract” You’re lying, where are the colors? A brand new day, and nothing will change Can you see the death inside the eyes of the high-functioning? Woah, it’s all abstract
9.
For a moment I thought the toys between my eyelids were something I, I charged Not something I grow With time, I sought to break apart the barrier between my two fists and its jaw On the days that snow filled my iris I fell down the stairwell for far too long (I fell down the stairwell) I saw many things I did not wish to, wish to (I’m inelastic, I’m inelastic)

Harsh Wall 04:44
Hearts can knock you down, but don’t let them make you fall They seldom glance upon thy cigarette to ask you why Some say that spades are bound to walk atop a separate world One day that might come true, woah Don’t let this game push you around You’ve got a harsh wall coming at your broken eyes And the fall back to your teeth You’ve got something running fast right towards your mind But that’s something that you’ll probably never know Clubs can’t stand when they want to The world is crude in iridescence Diamonds, oh you find a way to find amaze in everything Don’t let this game push you around You’ve got a harsh wall coming at your broken eyes And the fall back to your teeth You’ve got something running fast right towards your mind But that’s something that you’ll probably never know You’ve got a harsh wall coming at your eyes

Blossoming 05:40
I know a place of gardens Tell me when apples grow I know a place where we can stay Take these in, shelter from the tide, and watch your right Save the world, hold your hands up high, the red leaves the sky I know one day you’ll be a beautiful animal inside the confines of the record player You’ll look down at the world below in silence with a tear in your eyes The genie emerges and time is all I ask for Because one day when you grow old The seeds you wasted will hit you like you’ve never been hit before ‘Cause the time, it matters, it matters, it matters And finally catharsis

about

Humbly recorded and produced in a living room, this is my most ambitious artistic endeavor to date. The initial conception of this project has its roots in late August of 2021, but has just now been fully actualized. Everything had to be bigger, better, more detailed, and more fun than the last, and over the course of this year, I truly believe I have accomplished such a task.

I present to you, Enigma.

Dedicated to Mom, Dad, Anne, Raul, Brenden & Caitlin, Jeff & Jenny, Ben & Jessica, Joanna & Fernando, Justin & Mishell, Jordan, Grandma & Grandpa, the cousins, Amelia, Skylar, Dallas, Dick & Sharon, Cindy, Rick & Sandy, Missy & Les, Mark & Carolyn, Garrett & Naomi, and Justin & Hannah Lafrentz.

Special thanks to The Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring, Cap'n Jazz, Texas Is The Reason, Jimmy Eat World, Braid, American Football, Penfold, Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate, Algernon Cadwallader, The Story So Far, Neck Deep, The Wonder Years, Mayday Parade, State Champs, Sleep On It, Saves The Day, Hot Rod Circuit, Lifetime, Jawbreaker, The Starting Line, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Weezer, toe, Chiodos, Silverstein, Saosin, Dance Gavin Dance, Nirvana, Primus, Sublime, NOFX, Millencolin, Lagwagon, blink-182, and many more for inspiring this record.
