| 01. | Please don't remove the credits in the code. You can move them around or edit them or put them somewhere else, so long as people can see them. I won't hunt you down if you don't, of course, but it'll be convenient for people to find what they're looking for, right? |
| 02. | Do not edit and redistribute anything in here as your own. It's fine if you edit the layouts here for your own use, but don't go about sharing altered designs as yours. If you want to share my layouts, pointing people in this direction is much appreciated. |
| 03. | Please upload the images to your own image hosts. You can find some recommendations here. This is to make sure that I won't run out of bandwidth, so I can make more layouts for you guys! And in that vein… |
| 04. | No hotlinking. I left those image links in the code so you can try out the stylesheets on your own journals, but please do remember to replace the image links when you do decide to use them! |

| 01. | What's this comm about? Cat's Fiddle is a layout community, specifically for LiveJournal stylesheets (S2 styles only!) and the occasional profile layouts. Everything here is absolutely free. I mainly work with Basic and Plus accounts—no Sponsored accounts, sorry!—though they should work well with Paid accounts too. The stuff here's best viewed in the latest versions of Firefox, but I try to make them as compatible with as many browsers as I can. |
| 02. | Will you customize my layouts for me? Only for small changes: changing color schemes, adding headers, etc. I can help you troubleshoot the designs only to a certain degree, ergo I won't do anything that would completely redesign the layout like moving large elements around or changing the entire theme of a layout to suit your needs. But if you have trouble with the layouts or if you're just not sure, you can ask here! mintyhelp, everything_lj, and tutorialayouts are also very helpful communities for this sort of thing. As well, these places might help you customize your layouts further. |
| 03. | Do you take requests/commissions? As of now, no. Like I said above, everything in here is free. I might be willing to take layout commissions in the future, but that's for when I'm good enough for this sort of thing. If you need commissions, I personally recommend our affiliate, inconformista, where they're currently accepting commissions. As for requests, I might be able to open up something like that in the near future, so watch out for it! In the meantime, the suggestions post here will work just as well. |
| 04. | Do you take affiliates? Yes! But only for graphics comms, please. That means tutorial comms, layout comms, icon comms, etc. geared specifically for LiveJournal (though if your layout comms feature Dreamwidth-exclusive layouts along with your regular LJ layouts or whatever then that's okay too!). Affiliates will be posted at this page and at this comm's profile page, and I go out of my way to pimp them out when I can. Please comment below or PM me and I'll gladly add you to the list! |
