We are excited to introduce Designations in Raisely, a feature that gives you more control over your financial tracking and gives your donors more choice in where their donations are applied.
What’s New?
Designations allow you to categorise donations and ticket purchases into specific funds. Whether you’re running a specific appeal, managing a scholarship fund, or tracking general operations, you can now ensure every dollar is attributed correctly from the moment it’s given.
Why it Matters
Honor Donor Intent: Allow donors to select exactly which program or fund they want to support directly on your donation form.
Cleaner Accounting: Align your Raisely data with your internal accounting structures using Internal Names for your team and Public Names for your donors.
Optional Tracking: Designations are an opt-in feature. When enabled, you can apply designations to donations and ticket purchases so each transaction is attributed to the right fund from the moment it’s given.
Total Coverage: Designations apply to both standard donations and event ticket purchases.
How to Get Started
Note: you must have Organisation Admin or Campaign Admin permissions to manage Designations.
Set up your Funds: Head to Organisation Settings > Donation Designations to create your master list of funds.
Configure your Form: In your specific Campaign, go to Settings > Donation Form Settings > Designations.
Go Live: Choose a default fund for the campaign, or select multiple funds to give your donors a choice on the live site.
