chiarOscuro is a unique nightclub experience featuring alternative dance
music spun on two dancefloors by a rotating lineup of 12 diverse local and
national deejays every Saturday night at the Edge Nightclub in Washington DC.

This Saturday chiarOscuro is counting down the TOP POP ALTERNATIVE SONGS
of all time as chosen by you! The countdown will begin @ 9:30pm and will
go straight until approx 1am followed up by DJ Zoltar, the Brother
from Another Planet spinning old-school industrial (WHFS/XM82). The
options for top fifty Light Popular were based on a poll of the
chiarOscuro DJ team. The DJs made the preliminary choices, your choice
will determine the final fifty songs!
Who will be #1? Will it be A-ha? Erasure? The Pixies? VNV Nation?
Covenant? Primus? Soft Cell? Duran Duran? Oingo Boingo? Iggy Pop?
Find out this Saturday Night!
Also be sure to fill out an entry form at the front door - guess the
song title and artist whom you believe will be number one in our
countdown. If you guess correctly you will be gifted with a five disc
mixed set of the results and hilarious song announcements of Dark
Disco Decision 2004!
The Eclectic Lounge will be hosting a gallery presentation by
chiarOscuro's new Artist co-ordinator, Chris Hamilton
(http://jupiternine.deviantart.com/). Hamilton is an abstract digital artist and photographer new to the DC area. He is entirely self-taught and lately has been focusing on collaborative digital imagery, working with fellow artists around the world on pieces that can be described as visual conversations; constantly added to and altered. If you are interested in hosting your own art show at the club please come and visit Chris in our Lounge (hours: 11pm-2am) Saturday night!
Check out The Symposium and Eclectic Lounge at chiarOscuro
(hours: 11pm-2:30am) where you can relax in our comfortable couches and
play cards or take in a game of chess to a more diverse musical selection
at conversational volumes, home to special showcase events check the
chiarOscuro calendar. Our patio opens at 11pm so that you may enjoy
the fresh air and during the warmer months, a bar and manned DJ booth!
chiarOscuro is currently seeking artists interested in hosting a display
of their work in our venue, please contact art@chiaroscuro-dc.com for more
information. We are also seeking guest DJs and have the facilities to
