Whew! Update yeah!
Uuuuummmmm hmmmm. Well. My company released the first game I designed the characters for, Summer Sports Paradise Island, and we're currently well on our way into the sequel (which, btw, is really awesome and looks 100% better). Also working on some cartoon/movie pitches, one I've designed almost all by myself :B, and if they do get picked up will be exciting to have worked on.
Im moving out into my own place SOON, hopefully within the next few weeks, which is awesome. Finally after 2 years of being trapped with my parents Im back out and being freeee. Downside, its in Old Bridge (kinda not so nice area), I'll be without a dishwasher again, I'm leaving behind my cat, I've got flights of stairs to walk up which will only bother me when I go food shopping since the parking lot is a walk from my door (probably be a good thing, I need exercise), no clean washer/dryer (when I put my security deposit and was shown around the place, someone had peed in the dryer), so trips to home and laundromat will suck. BUT....at least it'll be good to be alone for a bit. Unless I go insane and eat my own legs or something.
I took a class with Wendy Froud and Toby surprised us by co-teaching. It was reeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaally a fun class. It was a little rushed, since I had to keep up with her super fast demos, but she is a great teacher, really sweet, and I learned a lot. And Toby is reaaaally frigging hilarious and is a little cutie with his accent.
Im sorta still freelancing on the side by doing sculptures...and getting paid with paypal is good cuz then I can spend it all on artbooks. Mmm :)
Uuuummm hhhmmm.....what else. Oh! Going to Ireland in September with my mom, it'll be my first vacation NOT spent inside my house, first time over-seas, and first time on a plane! Lots of firsts. Im getting more excited about it...since I turned down San Diego Comic Con (and the change to meet certain people in the industry buh) to go to it. But I'll be sleeping in a castle and running through marshes and dancing with sheep!

God I HATE freelancing. What a frigging pain in the ass. I don't ever want to do a kid's book again, why do I keep agreeing to them. Working with this insane asshole is like bashing my face against a rock. Its not MY fault he takes 3 weeks to give me changes, so WHY do I have to be done with 20 illustrations a cover and a fountain design by JUNE 1ST WHY WORLD.
I hope his publisher drops the whole thing. What a horrible badly written story. I'm ebarrassed to have my name on it.

Aaaaaah. Mmmmm :) Life is looking up for the first time since graduation :D Its great! I've found someone to go to the Sondre Lerche conert so I wont have to be coming home alone at midnight from NYC. And I met this girl at work who is my double and it is AWESOME. She loves HP, Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, loves Steve Buscemi, hated Garden State and Zach Braff, loves Peter Greenaway and WANTS TO MOVE TO BALTIMORE. Ahhh
Also, my book deal is finally set in stone. I've started work for it (3 1/2 months later), which is kind of stressful because ALL the work for it is due June 1st. Thats a cover, 9 illustrations, chapter border illustrations, and a foundtain design. I also have a teaching job that starts in a month and I have lesson plans that are due and you know, SLIDE shows and shit to put together. I have another kid's book thats going on hold until this first one is done, and then I have to re-pick up this animation job. I dunno, I kind of want to just. Ignore everything, but it can get me out of New Jersey and man I'll do anything. Sweeeet just a few more months :D!
Oh yeah, drove my car into the curb from all the snow and it was great. Tried to get the salt off my windshield and learned wiper fluid is BAD in the cold as it froze over and I couldn't see :( I had to pull over and sit there for 5 minutes. Ah, learning.
