About Candice Bailey
Candice is a writer and horror obsessive living in Athens, Georgia, with her husband and their very handsome cat. It was partly her strong interest in the films of Bong Joon-ho and Park Chan-wook that sent her to South Korea, where she taught English and worked as an editor. Now back in the US after nine years abroad, she works as a reading tutor and a freelance writer.
Although she has an MFA in poetry from the University of Mississippi, her recent focus has been on writing essays about pop culture, including books, movies, and music. In addition to keeping a blog about folk horror, she also reviews horror novels on Instagram.
Industry Experience
Candice writes about movies and has a particular passion for the horror genre. She hopes to share her deep knowledge of film with a wider audience.
Favorite Media
Candice's favorite movie is The Wicker Man (1973). This was her introduction to the world of folk horror, a topic that she writes extensively about (under the name Rowan Lee) on her personal website, The Harvest Maid's Revenge.
