This template may be used on the talk page of a Wikimedia Commons user who has been a long-term contributor but has not been active on Wikimedia Commons for a considerable time. Its purpose is to inform other editors that the user in question has not been active for a long time, and in particular, that they may not reply to any messages or questions.

What "considerable time" means can vary. For majority of the users, only add this template after six months with no activity has passed. Don't use this template for relatively new accounts or users with relatively low edits.

Do not put this template on user pages, only on user talk pages. If the user has already used another template (such as {{Retired}}) or messages to announce their departure, don't add this template, as a goodbye message is already there for everyone to see.

Usage

Parameters

All parameters are optional.

|1=

The first parameter (status) replaces "may have left Wikimedia Commons" portion of the template message.

|2=username

Second parameter replaces the default username (taken from the page title).

|date= (alias |3=)

Parameter date adds a date for the editor's last edits (which can be in any human-readable format).
