Sarah “Cindy” White is an American mass murderer, who set fire to the Roberson residence, where she worked at as a live in babysitter. The fire killed all six members of the family and she was convicted of the murders. She is the longest serving inmate in Indiana’s woman prison.[1]
Background
[edit]Cindy White met Charles Roberson while on her newspaper route. There he suggested she’d become a live in babysitter for the family.
Murders
[edit]On the night December 31, 1975, Cindy set fire to the Christmas tree in the living room in hopes of escaping from the abusive household.
Aftermath
