The Gledholt tunnels are a pair of parallel railway tunnels under Huddersfield town center in England. The tunnels serve as conduits for the Huddersfield and Penistone railway lines.

The tunnels are Grade II listed since 1978.^[1] The western portals are located near Springwood Junction, where the Huddersfield and Penistone lines meet, in Gledholt.^[2] The northern portals are located just outside Huddersfield station.

The Gledholt North tunnel was built between 1845-1849 and was designed by Alfred Stanistreet Jee.^[1] The Gledholt South tunnel was built between 1882 and 1886 to a design by J J Lee.^[1] Both tunnels are approximately 11 chains/243 yards long. ^[3]

Both tunnels are currently under going preparation works for the future installation of overhead line equipment as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade. The preparation works involve lowering the track bed in the north tunnel by 160mm and similarly by 200mm in the south tunnel.^[2]
