Tobias "Toby" Luca Ritchie (born 20 September 2007) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for EFL Championship club Bolton Wanderers.
Club career

[edit]Ritchie came through the Bolton Wanderers academy, joining at age 6. He signed his first professional contract with Bolton Wanderers on 26 January 2026.[4][5]
Prior to signing his pro deal, Ritchie made his professional debut for Bolton on 11 November 2025; as he replaced the injured John McAtee in an Vertu Motors Trophy Group stage game against Oldham Athletic and he scored his first senior goal for the club during the same game as Wanderers won 6–2 at Boundary Park. In the process, he also became the the ninth youngest goal-scorer in Bolton’s history at the age of 18 years and 52 days.[6][7][2]
In the games that followed he was amongst the first team substitutes for games against Swindon Town[8][9] and Plymouth Argyle respectively.[10][11]
On 11 April 2026, Ritchie made his professional league debut for The Trotters as he came on as an 83rd minute substitute for Mason Burstow during a 2–0 away defeat against Cardiff City.[12][13]
Personal life
[edit]Ritchie's maternal grandfather hails from Sri Lanka and in August 2026, he showed an interest representing the country.[14]
