Will Branner (September 9, 1993) is an American actor, singer, director, performer and YouTuber. He is best known for his work on The Great Gatsby, Back to the Future: The Musical and being a part of Team StarKid.

Early life and education

Branner was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina.^[1] He attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 2016 with a BFA in Musical Theatre.^[2]

Work

Branner has been in a large number of theatrical productions.

He featured in the Off-Broadway production of Kragtar: An American Monster Musical, in the National Tours of Mean Girls, in Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical (tour and New York City Center). He has also played in some regional theatre productions and has portrayed Tom Buchanan on the National Tour of The Great Gatsby.^[2]^[3]

Branner made his Broadway debut on June 30, 2023 as a member of the ensemble for Back to the Future: The Musical. ^[2]

He also joined Team StarKid in 2023 to portray the role of Max Jägerman in Nerdy Prudes Must Die. He returned to the company to play the role of Professor Hidgens in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals: Reprised!.

He has a channel on YouTube, "LordBranner", where he watches and talks about shows with friends and colleagues.^[4]
