    Euphonic reduced of *chicuōme, as the sequence *cuo is impossible in Classical Nahuatl, from chiuc- (“five”) +‎ ōme (“two”), (cf. chicuacē (“six”), chicuēyi (“eight”) and chiucnāhui (“nine”)).
