    24 HOURS BEFORE

Please strictly avoid caffeine, alcohol or blood thinners (ex, coffee, caffeinated tea, pain killers, aspirin, ibuprofen) at least 24 hours prior. Try not to exercise the day of your appointment.

    Quick facts at a glance:

    WHEN CAN I DO/GO.....?

    - 2 WEEKS! 2 weeks is the general rule for healing time for a tattoo.

2 weeks until you can swim in a pool, in a lake, up a creek, down the river, wade in the ocean, lay in a deep puddle, lounge in a pond, soak in a hot tub, take that long bath after all that weird pond puddle stuff.

  • CLEAR BANDAGE AFTERCARE

24 hours after your appointment ends, the bandage must be removed.

Begin by washing your hands. (This method can be easier in the shower)

Lift an edge from the bottom and pull/peel down to avoid trauma/pain.

Wash the tattoo with soap and warm water (nothing hot)

Pat gently dry. (It may feel a little "spicy" (tender) - this is normal.)

You may apply a very thin layer of aquaphor ointment over the tattoo only. More ointment will not allow the tattoo to breathe and not allow the bandage to stick correctly.

Reapply the new bandage over top taking caution not to touch the sticky side with your hands. (Peel one side at a time and press from the center to the edge.)

Once applied, It can stay for up to 6 days max from when you put it on.

The tattoo may form whats called an "ink sac" which is basically a mixture of ink and plasma (the clear fluid that helps heal). Do not puncture or squeeze the dressing and allow the plasma to freely move underneath. 😊

    FINAL BANDAGE REMOVAL

After 6 days, the bandage MUST be removed.

Begin by washing your hands. (Again, this method can be easier in the shower)

Lift an edge from the bottom and pull/peel down to avoid trauma/pain.

Wash the tattoo with soap and warm water (nothing hot)

Pat gently dry. (It may feel a little "spicy" (tender) - this is normal.)

At this point, your tattoo may look flakey or peel similar to a sunburn, so keep it hydrated! Apply an unscented lotion (I like palmers coco butter naturally scented and smells great 🥰)at least once a day for the next 2 weeks and when the tattoo is looking too dry.

    !! BANDAGE CAUTION !!
*If at any point during these 6 days you experience the following, remove the dressing, use traditional healing and contact me if needed for further input.
-leaks,tears or holes in the bandage
    -increased pain, redness or swelling
-rash inside or outside the bandage area

  • TRADITIONAL HEALING

Aftercare doesn't have to be complicated but it IS important. Follow these steps to heal your tattoo properly.

    1. Always always always begin by washing your hands.

    2. Wash your tattoo gently with warm water and a nonscented soap that your skin is familiar with.

    3. Pat gently dry with a clean paper towel or clean bath towel. It is normal that to feel tender for the first few days.

    4. Apply a very thin layer of aquaphor ointment at least twice daily over the tattoo only and leave it open to air.

Repeat these steps for 3-5 days or until your tattoo begins to peel or flake similar to that of a sunburn, or when it becomes very dry. At that point, switch to a nonscented lotion and apply one to two times daily until the 2 week mark. I recommend Palmers cocoa butter lotion. Its naturally scented and great for all skin types.

After 2 weeks, lotion regularly and the golden rule for tattoo longevity is SUNSCREEN!

    - Makeup applications to the brow area for 2 weeks
    - Direct water for 2 weeks. Wash aroudn the area using a cleaning cloth
    - Use directed aftercare ointment on the brow area at least 2-3x day for 1-2 weeks
    - Heavy Sweating activities for 14 days
    - Swimming pools, hot tubs or any body of water for 2 weeks
    - Exposure to the sun or tanning beds
    - Laser light treatments for 14 days. It can distort or darken the pigment
    - Exfoliating products, retinol acids, or AHAs on the area for 30 days
    - Massage facials or intensive skin treatments for 2-4 weeks

     CARING PROCESS

Most clients require at least 2 sessions, the initial procedure and a retouch 6-8 weeks following the initial procedure.  The 1st session is to build the shape and gain symmetry. The 2nd procedure you may experience minal discomfort to the treated area. During the first week, the treated area will initially appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined than the final result. Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin is normal throughout the process.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    DAY 1
2 to 5 hours after teh treatment dampen a paper towel and gently clean the area, pat dry, then apply a rice grain size amount of ointment. Starting on day 2, repeat that around 3 times a day for 1-2 weeks.

    DAY 2-5
This is when the brow color oxidizes or becomes very dark, this is normal! :)

    DAY 5-14
The peeling and flaking process should already be in progress at this point in healing. Remember NO picking, stratching or peeling off flakes.  Things must fall off naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring

    2 WEEKS AFTER
Your pigment may appear very light as the healing process is finishing. At this point, you may apply makeup to the area for your desired look.

    1-2 MONTHS AFTER
The brow area is healing and pigment is more visible and resurfaced. The color should be settled and you should have a soft natural looking brow. At this point, you may come in for a 6-8 week touch up.
