The DNI List is a list consisting of individuals who would NOT be allowed to attend phi mu events such as date parties, formals, mixers (with other orgs) and etc. The DNI list is a list that should be taken with upmost seriousness, in where individuals on the list present a
valid reasonable safety concern towards our members and the chapter. The form request will be evaluated but will remain confidential.
Valid safety concerns:
- Physical harm including sexual assault and violence
- Inappropriate behavior like aggression, intimidation, manipulation and coercion
- Inappropriate comments that violate the safety and well-being of others such as racism, homophobia and etc.
- Harassment (verbal/visual/online/physical/emotional)
- In addition, morally "grey" areas (ex: boundary violations) will also be a valid reason but state the situation in the response down below.
- If you are unsure of the criteria for DNI, contact Manahil Asad (masad@wm.edu)
Examples of non-valid reasons:
- Breakups that do not violate the safety of others. Not wanting to see an ex with other members.
- Friendship Breakups (falling outs with others)
- You don't like the "vibes" of the individual
- Arguments or tensions that do not present a safety concern. "Beef"
- Rejection from individual
- A single honest mistake (ex: accidently bumping into a person)
- Rumors without evidence
- Immaturity without malice
