Matthew McClellan co-anchors weekend mornings for FOX 13 News and reports live from the field for Good Day Tampa Bay during the week.
He joined the FOX 13 team in 2019, and since then, he's had the honor of covering some of Tampa Bay’s biggest headlines, including Tom Brady’s historic move to the Buccaneers and the COVID-19 pandemic. Other memorable stories include the "Take Care of Maya" trial, the disappearance and death of Gabby Petito, the Rays ballpark saga and hurricanes Ian, Helene, and Milton.
In 2024, Matthew launched a personal finance segment called Matt on the Money, helping viewers make smarter money decisions with simple, real-world advice.
Before moving to Florida, Matthew anchored weekends and reported in Indianapolis, Richmond, and Dothan, Alabama. Originally from the Carolinas, Matthew holds a degree in broadcasting from Appalachian State University. He’s a twin — his brother Luke lives out of state — and he and his wife Noelle call Tampa home along with their two rescue dogs, Tex and Scout.
Off-camera, you’ll likely find him out for a run, experimenting in the kitchen, solving word puzzles, or catching live music at one of Tampa Bay’s local venues.
