I thrive on variety and passion. This is why I'm a web designer/coder for my day job. Every day brings different challenges that utilize most of my skill set, from concept and design to coding and technical writing. I'm an idea and people person, so work best in a team of other creative, enthusiastic people.
Not that I don't enjoy my alone time... When not at the 9-5, I spend many an hour hunched over my computer and art desk, working on personal writing and illustration projects. I've always got another story in the works, or a grand scheme for an animated film, and I collect a lot of scrap fabric that I hope to turn into puppets one day. I'm absolutely in love with doing art for art's sake, and when it turns out well, that's just icing on the cake. Just don't look in the office closet - I don't want anyone to know just how many forests I've destroyed with the massive amount of sketching that I do.
Although on hiatus for health reasons, I'm technically a junior at Brigham Young University. My major is listed as Illustration, though I've spent equal amounts of time in the English and Humanities departments. I'm not sure if anyone knows what I'll end up getting my degree in once I make it back to school.
For now, I'm content to spend my time analyzing my favorite films (Ninja Turtles 1 & 2, Jurassic Park, Ratatouille), watching my favorite shows (Detective Conan, Unsolved Mysteries, Avatar), singing to my favorite songs (Kiss from a Rose, Stand By Me, and anything by The Beatles), rereading my favorite books (Ender's Game, The Professor on Paws, Black Beauty), and managing my favorite writing group (room5446 - we meet weekly!).
I live in Utah, am married to the best nerd ever, and have three cats.
