Everly needs a change so moving to be work for her estranged father seems like the perfect option. Unfortunately before she can really get to know her father he passes away leaving her forced to marry his partner and eligible bachelor Declan. At least it's only for a year and than everything will be taken care of. Will she be able to walk away at the end of the year?
I really like Everly she's such a great character I just felt that I could really connect with her and cheer her on as she navigated her new life. I just loved Declan he's just so swoon worthy he checks all the boxes. I love the steamy sizzling chemistry between them it just works so well even when they are both trying to deny the connection.
I devoured Between Commitment and Betrayal in just one afternoon because I had to know how it would play out. I love the characters I had a few moments when I wanted to slam my book closed but they redeemed themselves. I enjoyed the story it was fast paced with a swoon worthy romance and just the right amount amount of spicy. I love that we have so much of Declan's family in the story they are such a great compliment as well as Clara.
This is my first book by the author but I'm obsessed with her writing style. She's created a complex yet beautiful story that captured my heart as well as my imagination. I just loved every moment of Everly and Declan's sweet romance. I already have the next book ready to go and can't wait to dive into the next Hardy brother's romance. Perfect for fans of Marriage of convince and steamy billionaire romance.
