My github says billing issue, update billing method, I did but still despite paying 40+ USD my Github is failing to work why?

Context:

Payment Status: $40+ USD has been deducted/authorized, but features are still "locked."

Steps Taken: Updated payment method (Card/PayPal), cleared browser cache, and re-authenticated in my IDE (VS Code).

The Issue: The "Billing Issue" banner persists, and Copilot returns a "Subscription Ended" or "Unauthorized" error in the editor.

What I am trying to accomplish:
I need to trigger a manual sync or find the specific "hidden" invoice that is keeping my account in a restricted state.

Specific Questions for Support/Community:

Stale Invoices: Is it possible there is a secondary overdue invoice (e.g., from Actions or Codespaces usage) that the $40 payment didn't cover, causing the account to remain locked?

Sync Delay: Is there currently a known propagation delay (longer than 24 hours) for billing status updates in the 2026 cycle?

Manual Reset: Can a staff member verify if my payment is stuck in "Pending" or "Authorized" but not "Cleared" on the GitHub side?

If GitHub still shows a billing warning, Copilot can stay disabled until everything is fully verified on their side.

• Make sure there are no failed or pending charges in the billing history.
• If you updated your card recently, GitHub may still be validating the payment method.
• Try signing out and back in to refresh account entitlements.

Sometimes the charge appears completed on the bank side, but GitHub has not finished processing it yet. When that happens, Copilot stays unavailable.
