Early access

Glideo is in early access. Some features are still landing, and you may hit rough edges. Follow along on the changelog.

Screen recordings that
edit themselves

Glideo records your screen and does the editing for you. The camera zooms toward your clicks, the cursor glides instead of jittering, and the frame lands on a styled canvas. You never touch a keyframe.

Watch Glideo do the camera work

A screen recording edited in Glideo on macOS. Every zoom, pan, and cursor move is generated from the recorded clicks. Nothing here was keyframed by hand.

How it works

You record. Glideo does the camera work.

Recording and rendering are separate passes, so you can change the motion at any point after the fact.

Record

Glideo captures your display at full resolution while logging your mouse movement and clicks to a timestamped event timeline.

Plan

Glideo reads that timeline and plans the camera for you: each burst of clicks becomes a smooth zoom-in, a hold, and an ease back out.

Render

A second pass crops each frame to the moving camera, composites it onto a styled canvas, and encodes the final video.

Features

The editing you'd normally do by hand

What Glideo does

Automatic zoom & pan

The camera pushes toward where you click and eases back out when activity stops. Generated from your input, not keyframed by hand.

Cursor smoothing

Glideo swaps the twitchy system cursor for a larger, smoothed one that glides across the frame.

Styled canvas

Your recording lands on a finished canvas: padding, rounded corners, a drop shadow, and a gradient or wallpaper background.

Editable motion

Every zoom is a segment on a timeline: retime it, resize it, add one at the playhead, or reset to the automatic plan.

Reopenable projects

A project keeps the raw capture and the event timeline in an open .glideo folder, so you can re-render any time.

Private by design

Recording, planning, and rendering all happen on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Polish

Raw capture in, share-ready video out

Backgrounds, padding, corner radius, and shadow are applied at render time, so you can change the style and re-export without recording again.

Export

16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for everywhere else

Export 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok, up to 4K and with no watermark. Every format is free.

Use cases

Made for product demos, dev tools, and tutorials

Anywhere a screen recording has to hold attention, the camera work is what separates a demo from a screencast.

Product demos

Record a feature walkthrough once and get a launch-ready demo video: the zoom follows your clicks, so the viewer always looks where you want them to.

Dev tools & changelogs

Show a CLI, an IDE plugin, or a dashboard without the viewer squinting at small text. Glideo zooms into the terminal or panel you're actually using.

Tutorials & docs

Drop short, polished clips into READMEs, docs, and support answers. Projects stay reopenable, so you can re-export when the UI changes.

Pricing

Free means free

Glideo is the complete recorder, planner, and renderer, free for individuals with every feature unlocked and no watermark on export. There is no account and no trial clock. It runs on donations; companies using it in a professional setting arrange an enterprise contract.
