Is Glisio really free to try?

Yes. Recording and editing are free. Free video export is 30 seconds with a watermark; free snapshots are 1× with a watermark. Smart Cut is Pro. Upgrade to Lifetime or Pro+ for full-length, watermark-free exports, 2× snapshots, and Smart Cut.

Does Glisio upload my screen recordings to the cloud?

No. Glisio captures with Apple's ScreenCaptureKit and renders exports through a native macOS pipeline on your machine. Your recordings and finished videos never leave your Mac unless you choose to share them.

Where are my recordings stored?

Recordings and exports are stored on your Mac. Glisio does not require a cloud upload for recording, editing, or export.

Will Glisio slow down my Mac during export?

Export uses a local, hardware-accelerated Mac pipeline when available. Performance and fan activity still depend on the recording length, resolution, and your Mac.

What macOS version does Glisio require?

Glisio requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. The native recorder and exporter rely on ScreenCaptureKit APIs introduced in that release. Apple Silicon M-Series and Intel Macs are fully supported.

Is Glisio available on Windows or Linux?

Not yet. Glisio is macOS-only today. Join the Windows or Linux waitlist on the download page and we will email you when your platform is ready.

How does cinematic zoom work?

Glisio tracks your cursor and click events during recording, then generates smooth camera zoom and pan keyframes with spring-physics motion. The camera automatically centers and snaps onto clicks. No manual timeline editing required.

What export formats and frame rates are supported?

Glisio exports MP4 at up to 60fps. Free video export is 30 seconds with a watermark. Pro unlocks full-length, watermark-free exports. You can output your native recording ratio, 9:16 vertical, or 1:1 square from the same session. Presets are included for YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok/Reels.

Why is free export limited to 30 seconds?

You can record and edit for free without a time limit. Free export is capped at 30 seconds (with a Glisio watermark) so you can try the full workflow. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks full-length exports.

Can I record with webcam, microphone, and system audio?

Yes. On Mac, Glisio can record an optional webcam track, microphone input, and system audio with your screen. The editor includes five webcam layouts plus size, shape, border, and position controls.

Does screen recording on Mac record internal audio?

Built-in macOS tools usually capture the microphone, not computer audio. Glisio records Mac system audio with the screen so UI sounds, video playback, and voiceover can live in one take, without BlackHole.

Is Glisio a Screen Studio alternative?

Yes. Glisio is a Screen Studio alternative for Mac with cinematic auto-zoom, system audio, and local MP4 export. Screen Studio is $29/month or $108/year with no lifetime license. Glisio offers Pro Lifetime ($79 once), optional Pro+ ($14.99/mo, about 32 minutes of AI voice), and a free watermarked export while you evaluate.

Does Glisio work offline?

Recording, editing, and local export work fully offline. Connecting your Glisio account, checking out, and running cloud AI jobs need internet. App updates also require internet.

Can I switch from monthly to Lifetime?

Yes. Buy Pro Lifetime with the same email. Lifetime starts immediately. We cancel Pro+ so you are not billed again. Credits left in the paid Pro+ month stay until that period ends, then they expire. You do not get the Lifetime AI trial on top if you already had Pro+. Extra AI after that is credit packs. Lifetime customers cannot also keep a monthly plan.

Does Lifetime include every future Glisio feature?

Lifetime is local Pro on the Mac app: full-length watermark-free export, Smart Cut, and the core recorder and editor, including updates to those features. New Lifetime purchases also get a one-time AI credit trial. More AI uses credit packs. We will not move Pro features you already have behind a new paywall.

Do I need an account?

Recording works without an account. Purchases and AI credits require a Glisio account. After you buy, open the Mac app and connect that account under Settings → Account. No license key to paste.

How do AI credits work?

Pro+ includes 300 AI credits each month — about 32 minutes of AI voice. Lifetime includes a one-time 25-credit trial. Extra credits are sold as one-time packs (Starter 50, Plus 100, Studio 150). Credits live on your account and are used when you run AI jobs such as captions or voiceover.

I lost my license key. How do I get it back?

Sign in at glisio.com/dashboard with your purchase email. The plan is on your account. A license key is only a Lifetime/Pro+ backup. After a permanent account deletion, use glisio.com/recover or a Lemon receipt — signing in again does not restore the old account. Or email hello@ploreon.com.
