Aw, def! I cannot speak for others, but I love stepping in somebody else’s shoes. I’m open-minded and curious. And it just looked and sounded so cool and pretty, I wanted to play right away. And I’m so glad I did! It was very much worth it!

Eeeee! I loved this so much! I should preface this with me not being able to relate to the MC much at all, sexually - we’re literally opposites. And yet, this was so/that enjoyable. I feel like that says a lot about the quality and accessibility! I love the bestie, the potential LIs, and the very specific and diverse set of characteristics they all have - it makes them each such a rockstar, you know?​ Beyond that, I loved the interface, environments, the music was on-point, etc. I just love it all. I cannot wait for the full game - but obv, take your time, do your thang, this is worth whatever wait. Just saying that I’m looking forward to it!

Holycow, this is amazing. I cannot believe this was a 10-day VF game. Jeez. I’m so glad I finally got to play! I absolutely loved each of the routes, the characters, their stories. I loved how you could see/feel their feelings for the MC - they each had chemistry, even when they talked about things being awkward or disliking it - it wasn’t that at all, it was great. Literally, only thing I noticed - in Theo’s, they mention his blue nails and blue eyes, but neither were blue. That’s literally it. Everything was so well-done, well-paced, well-developed. I loved the “voices”. I loved the music and sound effects. The graphics were great visuals, the changes in atmosphere so perfect. Even just the menu/UI change at that certain point was on-point, the cherry on top. I just absolutely loved this, I cannot get enough. I will keep replaying.

Oh! I absolutely LOVED the extras. I loved seeing them in a bunch of others’ styles, especially ones I love/d! Such an added bonus, truly.

And, if anybody has any recs of games like this, please throw them my way! I want/need more of this.

I don’t know why/how I thought I would get through this unscathed. Shame on me, haha. This was wonderful. This was far too relatable, moreso than I’d like to admit. I wish AUs existed and we got such second chances, though. But really - this was great. James’ style, behaviour, that voice, his facial expressions, it was all so perfect! Beyond that, I loved how this flowed, paced, the interactions with the MC, etc. And while it did some telling vs showing, it was in a completely necessary, complimentary, fulfilling way. And that’s really tough to do, imo. So, kudos there, as well. The style, art, UI, interface - it was all perfectly fitting and complimentary of each other. ​Anyway, I loved it all. I really and truly did.

Just stepping in - Memento Mori is Latin - it means some variation of “remember to die”, “remember you must die”, or “remember (you have) to die”, etc.

The Game’s Intro/Info says “memento mori, memento amore”, which is akin to “remember to die, remember to love”, I assume. There is also a famous saying of Nietzsche’s, “memento mori, amor fati”, meaning something to the effect of “remember to die, love your fate”.

Ahhhh! Love this! Karrus! His voice! His blush! His eyes! His smile! He’s too good. Man, so good. This was great - the pacing was wonderful, it wasn’t too text-heavy or overwhelming with a bunch of text at once - it paced well, flowed well. I loved that you got to know Karrus, the MC, and even some of the fellow adventurers a bit, too. It’s great! The writing, art, music - all of it was so wonderful!

I definitely do! So, it’s very much worth the wait, having such good gems in the meantime! Thanks for all your hard work!

This was great! Holycow! It was the perfect lead-up, development - just enough to keep you guessing and/or wanting more. Carrick and the MC were great, their development, pacing, chemistry, all of it. His voice was perfect, to boot. And the CGs did not disappoint. However unfortunate, this was also incredibly relatable as an aging woman, so I found myself echoing a lot of the same thoughts, reactions, feelings. It was a great mix of reality and fantasy, for sure. This was all put together so well - I loved every minute, every second!

Super cute! Super well done - the voice, the art, the UI, the story, the plot, the flow, the choices - the ending! All of it was just wonderful.

Jeez. Now, I’m not ready to say goodbye, either. What’re you doing to me? Haha. I’m so in love with these, with him, I love everything about them.

Just replayed after 2 years, and man, this still holds up. So much to relate to and so much to enjoy. I love this gem.

I just came by to say I finally did a full replay (after playing however many years ago, before secret route); and I’m so glad I did. I still very much love this game. I also noticed that Peter has a cameo in that one CG, and that made me giggle. Thomas and Peter routes, when? Hahaha. But seriously, still love this game so much.

Sidenote: For those debating play-order your first-play-through, I recommend sticking with the recommended route-order included (Endings’ Walkthrough); as that’s the best way to have lead-ins, foreshadowing, connections, etc. I messed with the order this time around, and even did bad-ends first, and I definitely noticed some lead-ins weren’t as effective that way. So, definitely stick with the recommended route-order!

Ahh, again, I cannot get enough of these guys! I love them all! But now I need to find me a real-life Lawrence, pronto. Though, I won’t complain about a Ray, either.

I want to like this game. Not just the story, theme, art, and general idea.. but all the streamers I know/love promoting it. I was sure it was a perfect match.

But after the demo, I cannot recommend it. I cannot even recommend the demo. 2min in, it was already tough.

It reads like a machine translation, and a little clunky. Which is ridiculous, since there’s no translation involved. I realize some of it is trying to stick with the theme, but it’s really more than that. And there’s a lot of filler/descriptive words that don’t fit very well, and/or don’t flow very well. The copyeditor in me would say basic sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation - all need review. The fonts are also.. a choice. Not super legible, esp for those with legibility concerns.

Some of the intro effects are repetitive and clunky, themselves. They’re not super seamless, the most polished, and some of them seem like they don’t quite blend, like they were done in a quick mobile app. Which, again, is weird since that’s not what happened (I hope). Some of the movements are super clunky as well. It’s nice to see a character breathing, sure, but it just doesn’t work super well, here? And it feels like a cheap/AI/mobile ad, instead.

These are just basic functionality things. Not even tackling the actual plot, quality of the characters, their development, etc.

It’s disappointing that a lot of these things were brought up during testing. And not really addressed or corrected. It’s also incredibly disappointing, and even eye-opening, to see that there’s relatively no mention of any issues in a lot of the streams. Even in the ones where it sounds like the streamer is forcing themselves to continue, they don’t mention it or address it. Which is just asinine to me. Even in positive, favorable, and helpful reviews, they still point out opportunities for improvement. And there’s just none of that present.

Time will tell, and I look forward to seeing their actual reviews, rather than their streams. But at this point, I do worry. I support indie devs, and I want them to succeed, more than other devs (don’t tell tbe big guys). But at the cost of a bunch of people’s money and disappointment is not the way to do it. Especially when time is money and a lot of time has gone into testing and making the team aware. I feel like it all just reinforces bad habits and fake engagement. Which is the opposite of most indies, and one of the reasons we love them (for being good, skilled, genuine).

Tldr; At this point, I cannot recommend the demo. If you’ve got tons of hours to waste, have at it. But a lot of the basic functionality concerns were brought up multiple times in testing, and not corrected. I also dislike the general lack of actual critique. So, I’ll hold out for final game release and will sort through/dissect those reviews.

I couldn’t have said it better, myself. Right away, the writing is cringey, clunky, and hard to follow - some of it is due to keeping with the theme, I’m sure, but there’s just blatant misuse, misunderstanding, and mistranslation. Some of the writing just doesn’t fit and flow together, either. As if through piecemail edits or something.

I want to like this, and I want to believe that the streamers and superfans are earnest… But I just cannot. I am actually rather shocked with the lack of actual criticism in any way. There’s always glowing reviews, but they usually go through the pros/cons, and can/still support the project. There’s just none of that. So, I was really glad to see something so well written. Thank you.

I honestly didn’t even think of this as a special/DLC. Like, this is same-level energy. I love everything about it. Even if Halloween wasn’t my favourite holiday, or spooky movies my favourite kind, this would still be wonderful! I love getting to dive deeper into the world of Colorful. I love and miss these guys so much! And this is such a great way to keep experiencing them. Like, we don’t often get to see characters we know and love and different situations/settings, certainly not as varied as this. and I think that says a lot. I definitely took it for granted, because now I want extra editions of most games I love, ya know? I love getting to see this extra side, this added dimension, this interpretation.. it just further develops these characters I already loved! I love it!

Oh my gosh. I am so in love with this. The art, the music, the story, the writing, the pacing, the voices, the UI/menu, the details, the freakin’ characters! AHHHHH, I cannot even. I usually get bored or a bit antsy with buildup, especially if it’s not really necessary, or it’s just mundane or something.. I come up with these reasons why I could just skip it, basically. But with this, I just couldn’t do that. I was hooked. It was all so genuine and endearing that I didn’t want to miss anything - that what would otherwise be a normal/possibly boring car-ride was something I was wanting to hear every word about. It’s hard to explain, but I was just captivated from the very first moment. On top of that, the three LIs - normally, there’s just one or two that tend to interest me - whether romantic or platonic/at all - but this, all three of them! It’s one of those “I guess I don’t have a type right now” kind of situations, where I find myself easily enthralled by each of them. That’s just incredible, and truly wonderful. And this is only a demo! That’s impressive. It makes me super excited for the full-release. I’m an instant-fan, now, and will definitely be waiting for this! 10/10, would recommend! A+, guys!

For Hazel+Adrian’s Romantic End, Adrian’s image is missing from the last choice on. It shows him being sick for a second, and then the rest, his image disappeared. And it doesn’t show back up before the “Romantic End” slide shows.
