Happy Wednesday!

I'm taking search offline sometime today to upgrade the server to a new instance type. It should be down for a day or so -- sorry for the inconvenience. If you're curious, the existing search machine is over 10 years old and was starting to accumulate a decade of cruft...!

Also, apparently these older machines cost more than twice what the newer ones cost, on top of being slower. Trying to save a bit of maintenance and cost, and hopefully a Wednesday is okay!

Edited: The other cool thing is that this also means that the search index will be effectively realtime afterwards... no more waiting a few minutes for the indexer to catch new content.

The Fourteenth Station, the arrival of the Holy Spirit.

This is a window in our older church, St John the Baptist, in Tamworth. It is also the last of these photos illustrating the Stations of the Resurrection.

The Thirteenth Station, the disciples remain together praying for guidance.

This is the other station I don't have a photo for.

The Twelfth Station, the disciples undertake the work of Jesus.

This is a panel from the base of the statue of Sister Dora in Walsall. She was a 19thC nurse who worked with the urban poor providing maternity care for mothers living in slums and caring for workers injured in mine and factory accidents. It is believed that she is the first non-royal woman to have a statue erected in her memory in England.
