Okay. We all know that materialism is wrong. You shouldn't depend on "things" to make you happy.
That said,
I GOT THE NEW ORGY CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I came home, pranced about, danced around, bounced and hopped and giggled like a little girl....
Then I listened to it.
::sob:: It's not ::sob:: very ::sob:: good......::bawls::
I'm so sad. When you wait for years for your favorite band in the world to release something new, you expect the cd to be better than god himself. What you don't expect is 37 minutes of the lead singer bitching about his girlfriends, and a Korn meets Professional Murder Music sound. This was so not worth the wait. Vapor Transmission was totally worth the wait...that kept me occupied for months. You could just tell that so much went into perfecting the ideas and sounds on that album. But Punk Statik Paranoia is so shallow, and so much like everything else. I'm not sure about all you other Orgy fans out there, but I fell in love with the different, somewhat jaded sound of Candyass, and the total spaciness of Vapor Transmission. Orgy was so out there, so different, what you found in them you couldn't really find in other bands. Now I feel like I could put on any other cd and get the same effect that I get from Punk Statik Paranoia. It just makes me sad. ::insert sigh::
This sucks.
I'll keep listening to it, though. I'm sure it will grow on me.
