I love Romcoms❤️, Madonna🎤& Guy Ritchie movies👊🏻. How did this go so badly wrong?💀 Seriously, fuck this movie😡! It's worse than I ever could have imagined.

A romcom with no rom or com💔. Just 2 abusive pieces of shit👿 who psychologically abuse & physically assault each other the whole movie.🤦‍♀️

The big romantic turning point in this is an onscreen scene where the male lead beats Madonna, pins her down and sexually assaults her on the beach🤢. This apparently makes her finally fall in love with him.😬

A horrible disgusting movie🖕🏻. Everyone involved in this needs to have their head examined. It’s possibly just become my least favorite movie of all time.💩💩💩

I’d say everyone on this movie should go to f---king hell, but something tells me even Satan would be like “OHHH HEEEEEEEELLLL NAWWWW!!!!”

I've been hearing about how what a God awful this movie was ever since it came out, but the optimist in me wanted to believe that the critics were being excessively harsh. But no. Actually, I think it's even worse than that.

Now, Ritchie tries to infuse the film with lots of the sly and slapstick, almost screwball humour of yore, notably that of comedies in which the main characters can't stand each other, while also making some kind of critique of capitalism or something. The…

Not really as terrible as legend would have it, just toothless and totally unnecessary. Madonna and Giannini Jr don't have the ferocious anti-chemistry that the original's couple did, and contemporary sensibilities ensure that this can't possibly reach that film's dubious, deeply uncomfortable gender and social politics (although it's weird to see the director so seemingly invested in seeing his wife get slapped around while she's depicted as the ultimate harridan). Ritchie's a very successful empty stylist, and he's unable to render Wertmüller's hypothetical primal utopia as something appropriately and dangerously erotic; instead it's a gleaming magazine ad.
