Writing fiction can provide an avenue to process and heal for many survivors of interpersonal violence. Incorporating themes and histories of harm into fictional narratives is a form of creativity and expression that may allow survivors to grow more resilient and access pathways to healing. This workshop will explore the ways survivors can use fiction writing to process their experiences and pursue healing. It will offer insights on how to pull from fact for the purposes of fiction writing and hold space for reflection and free writing. This event will be hosted on April 21st at 7:00pm in the Evanston Women's Center at 2000 Sheridan Rd.
