Το Παράρτημα Αθηνών της Επιστημονικής Εταιρείας Φοιτητών Ιατρικής Ελλάδας (ΕΕΦΙΕ) διοργανώνει κάθε χρόνο από το 2013, σε συνεργασία με το Εργαστήριο Ανατομίας – «Ανατομείο» της Ιατρικής Σχολής Αθηνών, ένα πρακτικό, hands-on Σεμινάριο Συρραφής Τραύματος το οποίο απευθύνεται σε
φοιτητές ιατρικής.
Σκοπός του σεμιναρίου είναι η εκμάθηση της διαδικασίας της συρραφής του τραύματος, καθώς και των σχετικών μ’ αυτήν ενεργειών (περιποίηση & καθαρισμός τραύματος, προετοιμασία χειρουργικού πεδίου, αντισηψία, επιλογή ραμμάτων, επίδειξη εργαλείων, επίδειξη κόμπων), μέσω της πρακτικής εξάσκησης των φοιτητών επί ζωικού υλικού.
Από το 2021, το σεμινάριο αυτό έχει πανελλήνιο χαρακτήρα και τελεί υπό την αιγίδα της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

The Scientific Society of Hellenic Medical Students (SSHMS) Chapter of Athens has been organizing a practical, hands-on Suturing Skills Workshop annually since 2013, in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy – "Anatomeio" of the School of Medicine, National and Kapoditrian University of Athens (NKUA).

The workshop aims to train medical students on the wound suturing process and related actions (wound care & cleaning, surgical field preparation, antisepsis, suture selection, tool demonstration, knot demonstration) through practical training on animal material.  

Since 2021, this seminar has had a nationwide scope and is held under the auspices of the School of Medicine, NKUA.
