The UK government is planning to remove important regulations governing whether new outdoor advertising billboards are granted planning permission by local councils. In order to protect communities from intrusive digital advertising screens that are encroaching on our public spaces, we need to strengthen the existing rules, not remove them. Adfree Cities have developed a template consultation response letter that you can send to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government - calling for the cumulative impacts of outdoor advertising to be left in.
