Accessibility of CCU CAPS

After an interview with the Director of Counseling Services, Dr. Bower, we learned many factors relate to the number of staff such as the student body size, utilization of services, capacity of the number of sessions that can be offered and university funding for staff members. She expressed the need to advocate for more counselors at CCU as our population grows and mental health needs increases. With this petition, we would like to bring the attention to students on campus who lack access to these resources. We hope this will open a door to expanding the budget and location of Coastal Carolina University’s Counseling and Psychological Services for our students mental health needs.
