Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow-motion moving meditation that doesn’t put any pressure on the joints. It’s scientifically proven that regular Tai Chi practice can help to improve balance, coordination and prevent falls and health problems in older adults. But it’s not only for elderly, everyone can benefit from this practice. Tai Chi is the most growing practice around the world and is therapeutic exercise for many chronic health conditions. This 6-week program will begin with the basics of Tai Chi Form. This is an excellent introduction to Tai Chi, suitable for beginners. We will practice Qigong meditation in the beginning of each class to relax. We will then focus on Tai Chi Form, step by step. No class April 1st. This program is not eligible for a Fitness Member rate. Class will be held in the Multipurpose Room.
