We are thrilled to celebrate a decade of NHCM's climate policy wins with you on April 21st, 2026 from 5-7:30pm. Enjoy catered dinner and a raffle, hear from speakers, and mingle with community leaders, students, and organizer. Throughout CT, students are participating in NHCM's Banner Project in support of fare-free buses for CT Youth. Each school is completing a banner filled with names and written messages to present to lawmakers in the State Capital. Please fill out the following Google Form to support our efforts and advocacy. NHCM members will take your responses and physically write your names and messages on the banner. Our ultimate goal is to promote safe, equitable, accessible, and clean transportation for all. Here's our 9 reasons why YOU should sign. Signing this petition will... Increase equity by providing mobility to all youth, not just those with cars. Reduce family transportation costs, which can be a significant burden for low income families. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Reduce air pollution which negatively impacts public health. Create safer streets and neighborhoods by reducing car traffic and having more people walking. Improve bus system by increasing ridership and support Increase student access to internships, jobs, and afterschool activities. Promote long term mode changes as youth get accustomed to riding transit. Recognize the need to offset significant increasing climate costs youth face.
