Do you need a reservation to visit Nurtured by Nature?

Visiting Nurtured by Nature is by reservation only and we currently only offer the experiences that are listed on our website nurturedbynature.org which are the Public or the Charitable Otter Swim Encounters and the CAPYHOUR experience (we do not have general admission or allow guests to walk around without a guide). Right now we do not allow guests (other than Make-A-Wish) under the age of 16 years for our Public or Charitable Otter Swim Encounters and 13 years for the CAPYHOUR experience.

Is there a minimum age to visit Nurtured by Nature?

Can I buy one spot for my ___ and I just come and watch?

There are a limited number of spots available in each encounter, and all programs are set up as group guided tours. Because of this, we do not have any extra spots for additional people to observe, take pictures, or do partial tours, so each person in attendance would need to have a reservation for that encounter and meet the minimum age limit. Guests 13-17 years of age must attend with a paying adult and cost of the programs are as listed on our website per person.

Do you offer any less expensive programs or experiences for younger children?

We do have a longer term plan (next year maybe) of developing an interactive walking tour that would be less expensive and allow younger guests to visit, so please stay tuned to our social media (Instagram https://www.instagram.com/nurturedbynatureotters/ and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/swimwithotters) where we will post any updates as they happen.

Why don't I see any available spots to book my reservation?

You may be looking at only one program calendar, but we do offer multiple experiences. If all programs are fully booked for the calendar year, please click on one of the other experiences to view availability of those programs. We open reservations one calendar year at a time, and usually open up the next year's calendar in November, so you should see availability for the upcoming year some time in November of this year. We make announcements on our social media a couple of weeks ahead of time when that calendar will be available for booking so everyone has a heads up.
