The Columbia County Players in partnership with the Spark of Hudson announces an open invitation to all to take to the stage in front of The Spark’s big blue curtain, learning the ever true and lively ups, downs, and sideways basics of improvisation. Leader Eddie Allen invites all curious and courageous comers, with lots of stage experience or none at all, to come over and play on their feet! The following are some requirements: - Play improv games - Overcome difficult tasks like having fun - Be in the moment. Spark Avenue Improv takes place every Thursday from 6:30–8:30 PM at The Spark of Hudson (502 Union Street). Once you sign up, you’re all set—there’s no need to register again, and you’ll receive email updates about future improv updates.

The Cold Case Collective is a biweekly discussion group at The Spark of Hudson focused on examining real unsolved cases through an ethical, educational lens. Together, we work to keep victims’ stories at the center, build responsible investigative and critical-thinking skills, and learn from guest speakers connected to justice, advocacy, and investigative fields. Each session includes guided discussion and collaborative case review in a supportive, respectful environment. The group emphasizes learning and welcomes anyone interested in understanding cold cases with care and purpose.
