Hi Future Minds Family,

2020 was a whirlwind year: lockdown, remote learning, toilet paper shortages, Zoom fatigue. But there have been bright spots too!

We delivered our accelerator fully online for the first time, and many of our startups pivoted from in-person to a hybrid of both in-person and online delivery
— enabling them to reach more students across Australia, and even worldwide. In fact, our Future Minds cohort supported more than 100,000 Australian young people in 2020 and created dozens of new Australian jobs.

In this newsletter, we share some of their latest accomplishments, how to make your own hand sanitiser, how teachers can get a free entry to the Maritime Museum, as well as a few school holiday workshops for kids run by our alumni startups.

If you’d like to learn more about any of our startups or what we're up to, please get in touch or book a call with us.

Make your own hand sanitiser!

The recipe is really simple and is drawn from WHO guidelines, you only really need 2 ingredients + the scent of your choice.

Dr Rob, founder of science startup Experimentary, was on Channel 9's Today Extra with his kids to demonstrate how to make it. It’s a great activity to keep the kids busy these holidays, and a fun one to do in class 🤓

QUT_Enterprise education survey
Take part in Australia's largest teacher survey on enterprise education

The national enterprise education survey is a new research project that aims to understand and learn from Australian teachers' perspectives on enterprise education in schools, and map what's happening in classrooms across the country.

By taking part in this survey, you'll help shine a light on the different ways in which teachers are engaging students with enterprise and entrepreneurial education, from K-12 and across government, independent, and Catholic school systems.

The survey is open to all Australian K-12 school educators, whatever your role or location.
