*** - Warning. Unlike most movies I've recommended, these two should be noted because they're both explicitly and gratuitously violent and disturbing. As well, I would bet money that many people wouldn't like them and may be disturbed by them (not in a good way), so while I "recommend" them, to friends I recommend them with heavy warnings and hesitation.
^^ - WARNING. I recommend this movie to the other maybe two people who'll be able to appreciate it the way I did, but honestly, PLEASE don't watch this. It's one of the most disturbing difficult traumatizing movies I've ever seen and if you watch it you'll NEVER erase it from the inside of your eyelids. Trust me. It's based on a true story. Don't watch it because if you watch it on my recommendation you will hate me FOREVER.

VERDICT:

I like how many chances I took on movies that I wasn't even remotely familiar with or aware of. More of that. I came through with my promise to myself from last year to indulge my love in horror and bad horror movies even though I don't have one friend who enjoys it or is willing to watch them with me. This year, I watched most above-listed horrors alone and YEEHAW. Not enough independent/festival films.
