It occurred to me just today that I should have introduced myself a while ago. :) I have never introduced myself to a community before, so I didn't think much of it, but after reading your nice intros here I thought I should make an effort.
My name is Anna (aka Banana) and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I currently live in Columbus where I attend Ohio State, and I have been a member of Three Cranes Grove ADF since this June.
I have been pagan for a little over 5 years (I am now 20.) My background is more or less Wiccan, and I had a small coven of three back at home in West Chester. I really liked Wicca, but in the end it was just too small for me, and when I moved to Ohio State I was introduced to a myriad of new religions. I joined the OSU Pagan Student Association (of which I am now co-chair), and from there I began to eagerly search for public rituals. I was invited to a 3CG Samhain rite last and that was the beginning; ever since then, I have been hooked.
I am currently undergoing ADF's Dedicant Training Program. To put it poetically, it's frickin' sweet. It's exactly the kind of structured, formalized training I've been searching for, and although sometimes it can get kind of hard with all the other stuff I do it is absolutely worth it. Can't recommend this enough. :)
I have begun to attend pagan festivals (Trillium, Summerset, Summerland, etc) and hope to attend more in the future, but currently my schedule is still jam-packed and funds are pretty tight. Regardless, I love meeting all sorts of people from all sorts of religions and learning about them. I like hands-on experience, too, and I am secretly fond of [chaos?] magic.
I do not consider myself a Druid yet, but my day-to-day worship is Druidic in nature, and the training programs and rituals I engage in are mostly Druidic as well. I'd say my pantheon is mostly Gaulish / Continental Celtic with a dash of Norse. My patron god is Cernunnos, with the goddess Artio close behind.
Feel free to lemme know if you have any questions or other such mischief. :)
