    This book is melancholy, frustrating, and somehow a really fun read all at once! Delicate Friends has a narrator as unreliable and confused as they get, but despite how lost Austin is, you can't help but root for him (or at least, root against the people who hurt him). Set in Perth, Australia, a city defined by money or lack thereof, out of time, and abandoned, Austin's journey isn't just about one relationship, it's about so many kinds of fragile human connections that can break as easily as they form.

    I'm usually not a fan of fiction without some magic, monsters, or mystery, but this one was hard to put down! Totally recommend :)
