Early Life

Nikolai Ray was born in Quebec City and grew up in Los Angeles, California. During his childhood, he developed a passion for hockey, but injuries to his knees and shoulder set him back during his years of Canadian Junior hockey. Despite this, Nikolai still achieved his dream of playing professional hockey, but soon realized that the reality of the sport at that level did not match his expectations. This led him to shift his professional focus away from the sport and toward education and entrepreneurship. At just 22 years old, Nikolai launched his first business, Synergy Institute, a human performance centre. He also later founded VSM Hockey, an agency representing junior and professional hockey players in Canada and the U..S. Nikolai also had the honor of coaching athletes at 3 Winter Olympics (Turin, Vancouver, Sotchi) and numerous World Cups. He was invited to collaborate with B2Ten prior to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and also was in charge of two professional boxers who each won Intercontinental Boxing Championships (Mikael Zewski and Pier-Olivier Coté).

Career

Nikolai Ray founded and co-founded a series of new ventures, including Ray Human Performance, a company specializing in athlete training and performance enhancement, and Ray Harvey & Associates, a multifamily real estate investment advisory firm. He also founded the International Society of Exceptional Leaders and the Dare to Achieve Foundation, which focused on personal development and inspiring youth, respectively. He’s become a prominent figure in Canadian real estate through his role as President of Fierbrooke Communities, a non-profit dedicated to affordable housing and environmental sustainability. He also leads Fierbrooke Collective, which manages an extensive portfolio of properties and wields its influence to emphasize social and environmental responsibility alongside financial success.
