2025#025【洋楽】PVAB - Arcane New Theme Songs for 2026-2027 (Night Versions), Fluorescent Ghosts

オランダの友人がSoundCloudで作品を発表しており、時々レビューを頼まれます。これまでメールやメッセージでやりとりしていましたが、今回レビューした作品がいずれも良かったのでこちらで紹介したいと思います。

以下拙い私の英語でのレビューになりますがよろしければどうぞ。

My Dutch friend PVAB has been producing interesting work on the Soundcloud and every time he puts work on line, he wants me to review and I give him short comments. This time he had posted 2 interesting works and I thought they need to be known by more people, so hereby I would like to share my comments to give them. chance to listened by more people. :)

Arcane New Theme songs for 2026-2027 (Night Versions)

Totally I thought this album gives me a new era/taste. Basically sound are typically PVAB style but I think the songs and sounds are well arranged and coordinated in the depth of the concept and have stepped up a lot from the previous works.

The Atmosphere I get from this album is something like the darker version of the movie “The Fifth Element”.

1) The Choir of Rot

I liked the scale of sound and the vocal both matches very well. Emotional vocal sounds loud but very sensitive. Use of echo also works very well.

2) Wolfblood Crown

Soft and whispering voice gives you kind of image of silent steps of wolves.  Wolf also has a sad and lonely image and that matches to the song and sound - walking alone in the forest or dark place.

3) Ashes And Neon

A bit bijork taste?
Incredible vocal and heavy-bass sound beats as always.
As the song finishes,  emotional

4) Ambassa’s Feast

Depeche Mode like approach and I loved this mid-tempo song!!
Best song of this album.

5) Forbidden Love

Start with Hard rock ballad style, the shout and cry - very emotional vocal lead you into the starting point of this album. Digital sound  bridge leads you to the final.

It was a big surprise that you gave me Japanese song!
Her are my review comments:

1) Synthetic Lotus

As I mentioned above, yes, I was very surprised that Japanese lyrics comes and out. This is very interesting as these part - language directly comes into my head without thinking nor translating.

I wonder how do people who don’t understand Japanese will receive this - just like us hearing English songs?

BTW, Her voice is amazing.

When sing a song, language is very important. The word, lyric wears mask of the language and to express something, words’ power differs depends on what language to use.

I ‘ve been thinking somehow future tech - “Synthetic” something fits well with multi-cultural expression.

And There must be a type of sound/song each language is good at. In this sense, this song has succeeded.

2) Echoes of Fluorescence

I love this Punkish vocal!!

As many time as I listen , I came to love this vocal. I usually don’t listen to Japanese pop music as they are very much poisoned by K-pop…

3) Chrome Embers (RMSX)

Bass, Keyboards, drum and echo - this must be a new Depeche Mode’s 12 inch remixes!! :)

I tends to listen to this type of records when I was young (Late teenage-mid twenties), I do love this type of sound. Thank you for giving me this. I appriciate.

One wish - More shiny Keyboards spice would be perfect!!

4) Digital Remains

When I watch Hollywood movie in which Japanese are playing, sometimes they seems a bit weird, or strange. But I don’t feel that type of strange feeling with this album.

Maybe her vocal style has no intention and natural.

As I have been talking a lot about “Vocal”, but don’t worry - Your work - sound making and arrangement are getting higher and higher. I just can say “SUBARASHII” - wonderful, amazing, excellent.
