　HOKUSAI🌊浪裏の潮鳴りと強風の時、村を護る為に植えたのが、防風林である黒松です。
HOKUSAI🌊The japanese black pine trees were planted as a windbreak to protect the village from the roar of the waves and strong winds.

この松林は、湘南地方の風物詩であり、この風景こそは憧れられる、強い潮風と高潮や津波、塩害を防いでいます。
This pine forest is a famous spot in the Shonan region, and this enviable scenery protects against strong winds, high tides, tsunamis, and salt damage.

これは日本国で、茅ヶ崎は海岸線一帯が、トゲトゲの松の木が植えられています。

　この松を植えたのは、東京大学の廣田精一でした。昭和の戦後の海岸線には、全く松の木一本も生えてない、吹きっさらしの砂浜だったのです。
