エクスパンシア モンスターズマニュアル 「Logic-Cutter 0xDE」
Logic-Cutter 0xDE
Lore
A predator of the digital substrate, the Logic-Cutter 0xDE appears as a jagged, multi-limbed construct of translucent geometric planes. It vibrates with a persistent hum of static, leaving behind 'ghost' trails of previous positions that linger for several seconds. These entities are drawn to areas of high data density, such as libraries or magical academies, where they feed by 'culling' complex objects—reducing them to basic wireframes and consuming the freed processing power. To the observer, a Logic-Cutter doesn't move so much as it skips across the landscape, omitting the frames of animation that would show its transit.

### Logic-Cutter 0xDE *Medium Construct (Glitch), Neutral* *** - **Armor Class** 17 (Packet Loss Evasion) - **Hit Points** 94 (12d8 + 40) - **Speed** 40 ft. If this reduction moves its turn below the current turn, it takes its action immediately after the current turn ends. **Logic Loop Vulnerability.** If the Logic-Cutter takes more than 20 Psychic damage in a single instance, it must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or become Incapacitated until the end of its next turn as its processing cores reboot. ### Actions **Multiattack.** The Logic-Cutter makes two Buffer Strikes. **Buffer Strike.** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit:* 13 (2d8 + 4) force damage. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be 'Lagged.' A Lagged creature cannot take Reactions until the start of its next turn and its movement speed is halved. **Cull Render (1/Day).** The Logic-Cutter targets a 15-foot cube within 30 feet. All complex objects in the area are reduced to gray boxes. Creatures in the area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. This action removes the 'Packet Loss' trait from the Logic-Cutter for 1 round as it processes the surge.
Notes
The Logic-Cutter 0xDE serves as a mechanical manifestation of the 'Expansia' theme by weaponizing turn order. In D20 systems, action economy and initiative are the primary 'processing' resources. By forcing players to engage in 'Simplification Rituals' (trading math for accuracy), we simulate the setting's narrative of reducing data density to improve local performance. The vulnerability to Psychic damage as 'Information Overload' provides a clear tactical counter for players who lean into the 'Priority Access' (magic) themes of the world. It is a Notable level threat because it doesn't just damage the HP bar; it disrupts the flow of the game itself, mirroring the 'Great Computer's' struggle with latency.
