ピザの具材ってどういうのが好きですか？
バジル、チーズ、ペパロニなんかは、人気のトッピングですよね。
では、パイナップルは？

私は、パイナップルとペパロニのトッピングが好きです。

私の夫は、ピザが大好物で、家でも頻繁にピザ生地から、ピザを焼きます。夫がパイナップルとペパロニのトッピングが一番好きなんですね。それで、薦められて、私は、その具材で焼くようになりました。

でも、初めの頃は、果物をピザにのせるのって感じで、違和感があったんです。トマトソースとパイナップルって合うの？っと疑っていた私です。初めて食べた時、美味しいと思ったのです！

パイナップルの甘みとペパロニの味も、うまく合っていて、よかったんですよ。

今では、パイナップルとサラミが、私たちの好きなトッピングになっています。近くのスーパーでペパロニがなかなか見つからず、サラミで代用しています。下部のページを見ていただくと、ペパロニとサラミって味付けが違うようなんです。

宅配ピザを頼むときも、ピザのトッピングを、わざわざ変えたりします。定番メニューで、トロピカルピザというのがよくあって、ベーコンとパイナップルの組み合わせのことが多いです。なので、自分たちの好きなトッピングにいつも変えちゃいます。

機会があれば、パイナップルがのってるピザを食べてみてくださいね。

10. Pineapple on pizza: yes or no?

How do you like your pizza? Basil, cheese, and pepperoni are some popular toppings for pizza. How about pineapple on pizza? I like pineapple and pepperoni for the toppings.

My husband loves to eat pizza and I bake pizza from the dough at home frequently. His favorite toppings are pineapple and pepperoni. So he recommended me to try it and bake it for us.

At first, I couldn't imagine a fruit as the toppings. I thought tomato sauce and pineapple won't taste well together. However, I liked it when I first tried it. Pinapple's sweet and flavored taste was good with pepperoni too. Nowadays, pineapple and salami are the favorite toppings for both of us. I can't find pepperoni in nearby grocery stores, so I use salami instead. According to the references below, the difference between pepperoni and salami seems to be the seasoning. 

When we order delivery pizza, we change the toppings from options. There is tropical pizza in the standard menu, and it usually has bacon and pineapple. Therefore, we change it to our favorite toppings.

If you have a chance, I recommend that you have pineapple on pizza.
