What causes me the deepest concern is whether sufficient explanation and public debate have been conducted before these policies are set in motion. Vital policy directions seem to be decided without a comprehensive, publicly shared risk-assessment or a clear cost-benefit analysis regarding the strategic and ethical consequences.

Furthermore, our domestic media has largely failed to scrutinize these developments from a broader international perspective. While major news outlets report the "fact" of budget increases and policy updates, they rarely investigate the long-term impact on global stability, the potential involvement in conflicts, or the diverse views and analyses from international law and fiscal experts. The reporting remains superficial, focused on short-term political optics rather than structural verification.

If this drift continues, the peace-state principles and defense policies Japan has maintained since the war will reach a major turning point, and its relationship with the world will alter irreversibly without its citizens ever having the chance to fully comprehend the stakes.

At a time when multi-dimensional verification within Japan does not feel sufficient, we urgently need objective reporting and verification from an international perspective to examine the global implications of Japan's defense transition. I respectfully request your organization to investigate these rapid shifts and the lack of public scrutiny surrounding them.

日本発の変化が世界にどのような連鎖反応をもたらすのか。国内での多角的な検証が十分に行われているとは感じられない中、私たちは国際的な視点からの客観的な取材と検証を必要としています。
