"Shunshō no Hibiki" literally means
“the resonance of a spring evening,”

a poetic Japanese expression
that conveys quiet beauty at dusk.

Senzoku Landscape Association

Founded in 1933 (Showa 8) with the guiding principle:
“Protecting and nurturing our environment with our own hands,
and fostering a community built on shared responsibility.”

Since its founding, the association has devoted itself to preserving
the historical landscape and natural environment
of the Senzokuike Pond and Koike districts.

"Shunshō no Hibiki"

The event began as
a commemorative performance celebrating
the completion of Ikezuki Bridge,
a three‐arched taiko bridge
built on the western shore of Senzoku Pond
in March 1995 (Heisei 7).

The inaugural event welcomed distinguished flute master
and Living National Treasure Sanzaemon Takara
whose appearance marked the beginning of this tradition.

This year's program brings together
Noh chanting, hayashi ensemble, shakuhachi
and piano music.

As dusk settles over Ikezuki Bridge,
its arches are enveloped in twilight,
and a mysterious resonance fills the evening air.

with doors opening at 17:30,
the performance beginning at 18:30,
and concluding at 20:00.

As the event is held outdoors,
it will be cancelled in the event of rain.

Although the venue is primarily standing‑room only,
300 seats
and a designated wheelchair-accessible viewing area
will be provided in 2026.

The event is organized by
the "Shunshō no Hibiki" Executive Committee
and Ota City Office.

Students from the Voice Acting and Performing Arts Department
of Nippon Engineering College

In Closing

Our lives today are built upon
the efforts of those who came before us.
This project has offered a renewed opportunity
to recognize that simple truth.

Otapedia records
"Shunshō no Hibiki" and Ikezuki Bridge
as “Unnamed Landscapes of Ota City.”
It also recognizes the long‑standing contributions of
the Senzoku Landscape Association
and the "Shunshō no Hibiki" Executive Committee
as “Unnamed Organizations and Groups of Ota City.”
Furthermore, the event and the bridge are documented as
“Unacknowledged Local Heritage of Ota City.”

Otapedia’s work is an effort
to preserve and recall the fading memories of Ota City, Tokyo.—
We turn our attention once more to
those things whose names are fading,
and bring them back into our collective memory.

Even if their activities and traces
someday disappear,
the paths they left behind within this community
will continue into the future.

These designations are
Otapedia’s own terms
and are not official
recognitions by
Ota City Office
