「スタートアップ企業への投資でうまくいったら何倍にもなる！」そんな投資に魅力を感じる人は多いです。スタートアップにもいろいろありますが、権威がお墨付きを与えていたらどう思いますか？
人はやっぱり、人を一番に信じるものです。
左の人物、デヴィッドについてAIに聞いてみましょう。
David Mendlovic（デヴィッド・メンドロヴィック）教授は、イスラエルの著名な電気工学者であり、光エレクトロニクスおよび光信号処理の世界的権威です。現在はテルアビブ大学の電気工学教授を務める傍ら、2025年からはKinneret Academic College（キネレット・アカデミック・カレッジ）の学長（President）に就任しています。
バッチリ、権威です。彼はデュアルカメラ技術をつくった会社の大表でもあり、Apple相手に何度も訴訟したり、最期はサムスンに売却したり、きっと、すごいお金持ちです。
テルアビブ大学はIT系スタートアップに強い印象で、学生による起業が珍しくなく、デヴィッドらが審査した事業が羽ばたこうというその瞬間に投資できる機会が提供されます。
いわゆるファミリーオフィス系の投資会社から持ち込まれた案件ですが、スタートアップ企業なんてもちろんゼロになるリスクはあるけど、数社以上に投資して5年も待てば1つくらいいい感じに育って、何十倍もの価値になる。平均すれば3倍から10倍、いや20倍も夢じゃない、みたいな話でした。
タイミング合わず、投資には至りませんでしたが、こういうの嫌いじゃないです。持ち込まれたルートがしっかりしていることもあって（日本人のエージェントです）、スキーム自体の信憑性は最高ランクでした。
投資しなかったので顛末までは不明ですが、デヴィッドの過去15年間だけのパテントを並べるだけでも、なにかしらどれかしら上手くいって儲かったんじゃないかなと、そんな気にさせますね。
