KLのリトルコロンボ？ Little Colombo in KL ?

一応の電子書籍も上梓しましたし、さあこれからは香港マラソンに向けた調整と、その後に続く東南アジア旅です！
何しろ今回はいつも以上に駆け巡ります(何しろフルマラソンを走った後ですし！）ので、小テーマをたくさん作ります。その中の一つは「KLの中のスリランカ」です。前回の訪問で、「ブリックフィールズ寺院はスリランカ系の仏教寺院」ということはわかったのですが、それ以上に至ることはできませんでした。そこで次回の訪問は、ブリックフィールズ寺院（シンハラ系仏教寺院）、Sri Kandaswamy Temple （タミル系ヒンドゥー寺院）に加え、いくつかのスリランカ系レストランで食事をして、そこで店の方及びお客さんとできるだけの会話をしてみたいと思っています。
・現状KLに住んでいるスリランカ人の数。できればシンハラ系とタミル系
・多くのスリランカ人がKLに移住してきた歴史
・KLのスリランカレストランの報告
例えばYARLでは、メニューを見る限りはシンハラ系に見えます。お客さんは？

東京のスリランカレストランは、たぶんほとんどがシンハラ系です。普段私たちがイメージする「スリランカカレー」は「シンハラカレー」といってもいいような気がします。池袋のフロリダ亭ではスタッフの一人はタミル系と聞きました。今度行ったときに、事前学習として、スリランカの料理でのシンハラ系とタミル系の位置付けについて聞いてみようと思います。

I’ve at least managed to publish an e-book for now, and from here on it’s time to focus on tuning up for the Hong Kong Marathon, followed by a trip around Southeast Asia!
This time I’ll be moving around even more than usual (after all, I’ll be running a full marathon!), so I’m planning to set up many small themes. One of them is “Sri Lanka within KL.” On my previous visit, I learned that the Brickfields Temple is a Sri Lankan Buddhist temple, but I wasn’t able to go any deeper than that. So on my next visit, in addition to Brickfields Temple (a Sinhalese Buddhist temple) and Sri Kandaswamy Temple (a Tamil Hindu temple), I’d like to eat at several Sri Lankan restaurants and try to have as many conversations as possible with both the staff and the customers.

For example, at YARL, judging from the menu, it appears to be Sinhalese. But what about the customers?
At Ceylon Flavours, again, based on the menu it seems Sinhalese. Who are the customers?
At Kafe Scott Matrix, judging from the menu it appears to be Tamil. What about the customers there?
Sri Lankan restaurants in Tokyo are probably almost all Sinhalese. What we usually imagine as “Sri Lankan curry” could probably be called “Sinhalese curry.” At Florida-tei in Ikebukuro, I’ve heard that one of the staff members is Tamil. The next time I go, I plan to ask—by way of preparation—about how Sinhalese and Tamil traditions are positioned within Sri Lankan cuisine.
